Delete your account
A Gratitude account exists only for Premium. Deleting it is scheduled, not instant: the account is purged 30 days after you ask, and signing in before then keeps it.
In the app
Open Settings, then Account, then Delete account. The app signs you out on that phone and the 30 days begin.
The 30 days
While the account waits, Premium, sync and Luna stop. If you sign in again within 30 days, the app offers to keep your account and nothing is lost.
After 30 days the account is purged for good. We cannot bring it back.
What is deleted
Your account and the email address you sign in with.
The words, days and earlier versions you synced, and your synced settings.
Your Luna calls and the notes kept after them.
The link between your account and your subscription. Deleting the account does not stop the subscription itself: cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
If you tell us why you are leaving, we keep the reason without anything that says who you are.
What stays on your phone
The things you kept are also stored on your phone. Deleting the account leaves them there, so the free app keeps working, until you delete the app. To keep a copy, export them first from Settings.
Without the app
No phone, or the app is gone? Email us from the address you sign in with and ask us to delete your account. Writing from that address is how we know the request is yours.
We schedule the deletion the same way, reply to confirm the date, and purge the account 30 days later.
