Luna, a five minute call about your day

Some evenings you would rather be asked than remember to open an app. Luna is a short call, at a time you choose, that asks for the day's three good things and keeps each one in your words. It is part of Gratitude Premium.

An evening check-in that calls you

Choose a time and the days you want, and at that time your phone rings with Luna. Where the phone allows, it rings like a real call. Answer and she opens with a short hello and a question about your day. Let it ring and nothing happens; you can call her yourself later from the app, any time of day.

What happens on the call

Luna asks for your three, one at a time. Each thing you say goes onto today's list the moment it is said, in your words, just as if you had spoken it into the app yourself. Once you have three, the asking stops and the call becomes a conversation about whatever came up, until you say goodnight.

You choose where to start: today's three, someone, a hard day, or just talk. A quick call is three minutes and a full one is five, and on Sundays she can walk you through the week. After the call you see what she kept, and anything you mentioned that she did not keep is offered on the review screen, so you can add it.

Five minutes a day

Each day has five minutes of Luna in all, in one call or a few, counted only from the moment a call connects. The minutes start again at your local midnight and do not roll over, and a call that never connects costs nothing. Near the end she says time is nearly up, reads back what you kept on the call and says goodnight.

What she keeps

A call writes text only: the things kept on your list, and a short note of one or two lines about what you talked about, so the next call can pick up where this one left off. She remembers your week from the words on your list and the notes from your last few calls, and now and then an older thing when it fits what you are saying.

Your voice is streamed live to OpenAI for the length of the call so it can be understood and answered, and it is never recorded. There is no audio on your phone or on our servers, and no transcript is stored.

What she never does

Luna is the name of the call, not a character. The voice on the line is an AI. It does not claim to be a person, has no invented life story and does not try to be your friend. It listens, keeps your words and asks the next question.

If you have been looking for an AI gratitude journal, this is the shape of it: the AI asks, you answer, and your own words are the journal. It never writes entries for you and never keeps a thing you did not say.

Part of Premium

Luna comes with Gratitude Premium, which needs an account; you sign in with your email and a six digit code. Premium also adds backup and sync between your phones, and look-backs on your months and years, drawn from your own words. You can try it free for 7 days. Everything else in Gratitude stays free, with no account.
